Meet Mr. Moon:
Greetings!
My name is Mr. Moon and I teach Music to Grades 1-5 at Arongen. I also direct the 4th & 5th Grade Chorus and the Annual School Musical (AMTC). Most recently, I've assumed the role of Assistant Director for the Shenendehowa HS Musical Company. I grew up about 30 minutes away from Clifton Park in the Village of Schaghticoke, NY - where we're known for The Great Schaghticoke Fair every Labor Day weekend! I graduated from the Hoosic Valley Central School District and went on to study at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam where I graduated with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education. Currently, I'm in graduate school with the University at Albany studying curriculum development and instructional technology.

Recorders
Students in Grades 3 - 5 have recorders, a music folder, and a pencil. Students will keep their recorder and folder (with a pencil) in the music room for the entire year. If students wish to take their recorder or folder home, they must ask the teacher for permission. It is up to them to make sure they bring them back to the next music class!
Recorders are given out to students during their Music Class in 3rd Grade shortly after the start of the school year. Once students receive their recorder, it is their responsibility for the remainder of their music career.
